It's that time again, time to make plans to come down to Playas NM for a great weekend of landsailing. It's a very laid back event, no attitude. Just bring what you sail and sail what you bring. If you don't have a sailer, don't worry, you will get a chance to try it out.
The dates this year are April 23, 24, 25 & 26.

Directions: South of I-10 between Deming and Lordsburg NM go south on NM 113 (old Playas smelter road) to the 4 mile marker, turn right on the dirt road, go west past the sewer lagoons. Follow road to lake bed (watch out for sail cars).
Bring your camper or tent and plenty of food & water, (BYOB) and a way to haul out your trash.
There is no charge, and will be free rides on many Landsailers.

Ever wondered how to have a campfire, and the ability to cook over it as well? The tub from a washing machine makes a wonderful firepit, and with a few modifications it can be used almost anywhere. We use this setup for all our campfire/cooking needs.
